Mark has been working as a freelance nature photographer since 1995. He is a regular contributor to many of Britain's leading wildlife and photography magazines, and his images are represented by a number of international photographic agencies.
Mark's first book, Wild Peak was published in 2003 and was followed by Wild Land - Images of nature from the Cairngorms, (2005) and Tooth & Claw - living alongside Britain's predators (2007) in collaboration with Peter Cairns.
Mark is a founding director of the Wild Media Foundation, a social enterprise that promotes conservation and environmental issues in the UK through the use of image media. Ongoing projects include Highland Tiger, a campaign to raise awareness about the Scottish wildcat and 2020Vision, an all-media project that highlights the connection between human well-being and intact, fully functioning ecosystems.
