G.Neil Gilmore
G. Neil Gilmore was born on 11/2/35. He left Grammar School at the age of sixteen and worked as an analytical chemist for West Midlands Gas Board and the UK Atomic Energy Authority whilst studying part-time. He gained Associateship of the Royal Institute of Chemistry before going to Manchester University Institute of Science and Technology for three years to do research for his PhD. This was followed by three years as a Research Chemist at Ciba Geigy prior to becoming a Lecturer in Chemistry and an author of GSE "O" and "A" level chemistry textbooks. He took up photography in 1982 and soon decided to concentrate on Natural History. Since 1982, he has had regular acceptances of his work in international exhibitions.
