Philip Mugridge

 

Phil is a relatively late comer to the world of Natural History and Nature Photography, but has had a long term interest in Biology. He obtained a Biology degree from Birmingham University and an M.Sc. from Salford University, but readily admits at that time he struggled to tell the difference between a blue and great tit!

 

Now retired from a career in the NHS Phil now spends most of his spare time chasing that elusive perfect picture, both at home in the Forest of Dean and abroad, which he has yet to capture.

Phil uses his images to give illustrated talks to many differing types of organisations and he hopes that helps spread the word about the beauty of the natural world and the increasing challenges facing it.
