Peter Farmer
Peter Farmer has had a lifelong interest in all aspects of natural history photography, particularly with regard to animal behaviour. His career was in cancer research, mostly working for the Medical Research Council. He has now retired although he still holds an Emeritus Professorship in the University of Leicester.
He is based in Rutland, and has travelled widely to many parts of the world. His favourite photographic locations are Africa, the Arctic and Antarctic regions, South America, and of course the UK.
He joined the NPP in 2013, and is also a member of Zoological Photographic Club and the Nature Group of the Royal Photographic Society. He was awarded an ARPS in Natural History in 2015 with a panel on Animal Behaviour in Sub-Saharan Africa.
