Arthur Winspear-Cundall was a member held in the very highest esteem by all past and present members of The Nature Photographers’ Portfolio. He first joined the club in December 1956, and remained a loyal and dedicated member for more than 63 years. It was to Arthur that the NPP turned in 1957, when it seemed that the club would be unable continue to function effectively, and he was appointed as Honorary Secretary. With the assistance of a few senior members, Arthur re-established the administrative credibility of the club and set about building for the long term. His steady hand remained on the tiller for well over half a century and almost all the facets of the club that we all enjoy today have been developed under his leadership.
