The NPP has a large collection of prints going back to the clubs early years. Many are in black and white. We do not know what equipment was used to take these images, but upto 1952 it would likely be medium format cameras or even plate cameras.

The first picture is a Manx shearwater and it could be that this is the very first flight picture of this species.
