Phil Jones
I am a retired physician who is now able to spend time indulging my passion for wildlife photography. I am based in mid Wales and since retiring, have added hides and ponds to my riverside land to encourage the local wildlife and of course, to facilitate photography. Given the natural beauty of the mid Wales coastline and countryside it is no surprise that I am interested in landscape work too.
In addition to the immediate fauna I travel locally (UK) to photograph wildlife and further afield too. I have had my wildlife work commended in British Wildlife Photography Awards and Bird Photographer of the Year. In 2012 I won the ‘Urban’ section of BWPA. In 2018 I was shortlisted for the ‘Peoples Choice’ award in Wildlife Photographer of the Year – although I didn’t win I did enjoy a fabulous evening being wined and dined at the Natural History Museum; a night to remember.
